University of Udine, Department of Economic Sciences, Italy, is the Grant Applicant. This department has a vast experience in various research fields, such as Economics of Work (including special areas like the economic role of teaching and vocational training; microeconomic analysis of unemployment and job mobility; the economic analysis of the management of human resources), Business Economics (including special areas like business organization; management and organization of large projects; knowledge for innovation and business networks; technological innovation and transfer of knowledge: the problem of flexible automation and communication technologies), and Multinational Strategies in Transition Countries (including areas like monitoring transformations in Eastern European economies).

University of Agro economic Sciences Gembloux, Belgium, was founded in 1860 and is the oldest Belgian institution of teaching and research entirely devoted to agronomy and biological engineering. In addition to the thousand students from fifty countries, it has a staff of over five hundred working in thirty units grouped in nine "pools", common scientific services and management services. Since the academic year 2004-2005, FUSAGx entered the new European higher education sphere. As a result of the harmonization of the European higher education systems (known as the Bologna process or 3-5 system), the new European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) has been completely adopted. The Department of Economics and Rural Development has three main fields of specialisation, especially teaching and training activities, research activities and project activities. In terms of research activities, the Department is involved in many research projects. The main topics are rural development and agricultural policy at the Belgian and European levels, development in Central and Eastern European countries and development in Developing Countries especially in Africa and South Eastern Asia. The University, and also its Department have a long experience in dealing with SEE countries and has been working in partnership with several SEE universities in important JEPs. It has a long practice in curricula development in SEE countries which is the basic issue of this project as well, so the participation of this University is important for the success of the project.

It has over 180 partner universities around the world, which makes it valuable information source. It is the home of 12 departments, amongst which are Department of Cross-Border Business, Information Systems and Operations, Economics and other. Vienna University already has International Professional Program conducted in English, having significant experience in area of international education.

Faculty of Economics, Prilep, FYR Macedonia is also going through similar situation as the one in Serbia, as it had similar starting point (being situated in former Yugoslav republic). It has The Faculty was founded in 1960. and it has become a well known high-school institution for permanent upgrading of curricula in accordance with actual economic concepts, for continuing scientific research, publishing, applied research projects and wide collaboration with domestic and international Universities. In 1979 it became part of University St. Kliment Ohridski Bitola. Since 2004 this Faculty has been applying the ECTS system; at undergraduate level there are five streams: Business economy, Marketing management, Business statistics and informatics, International economy and business and Accounting, finance and auditing. At graduate level (MA) the program has five modules (including Business and development planning in enterprises, Business finance in enterprises, Management of economic processes, Business administration-management and International economics and business). At the present, it is implementing Tempus projects: Development System for Estimation of Higher Education Quality in Macedonia (Tempus, Phare), and Modernization of Public Administration and Policy in Republic of Macedonia (Tempus, Phare), as well as several other international projects. The experience of this Faculty is essential for other faculties of the partner countries in further developing MA programs.

The Tibiscus University of Timisoara, Faculty of Economics, Timisoara, Romania. The Tibiscus Universitu of Timisoara was founded in 1991. and soon has become a well known institution as a member of European Association of Universities EUA, with 9 faculties in law, economics, socio-humanistic sciences, arts and scientific research. It is a non-profit, private institution whose entire activity is subordinated to ensuring the necessary framework for the successful development of the academic process of instruction. In 2002 the accreditation process of the University was successfully completed, meaning that its six faculties, Economics Faculty included, were independent to practice all types of academic activities. The Faculty of economics organizes MA studies in the fields of Accounting, Computer Science Administration, International economic relations and Marketing and also MA studies of Finance and accounting of territorial administrative units, Business strategies in the European environment, Quality control in economy and Audit, evaluation and reorganization of the economic enterprises. The staff members of the faculty have been involved in numerous and various research themes.

The faculty of Economics of University of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina was founded in 1975. The faculty is open to cooperation with world universities and realization of international projects, as in TEMPUS project as well. The Faculty has its Economic institute. Almost 8000 student has enrolled since the faculty was established. The third level of studies was introduced in 1979 and the faculty has gained wide experience in teaching in the fields of organization, management, exports marketing, financial management, transition and reconstruction of post-socialistic states, world economy and EU. Today the faculty has around 2.5 thousand students of general management, financial management, banking, tourism and international trade. International graduate (MA) studies have been organized in cooperation with High-school institutions from Bologna, Sassex and London. The faculty is permanently working on further development and modernization of MA studies, in accordance with Bologna declaration.
